CONSULTATION
Your Essential menopause consultation is a three-part process and kinda like dating. We need time to get to know you, compile data, and make educated treatment recommendations that support your health history, symptoms, goals and lifestyle. Our goal is to provide sustainable treatment options that relieve symptoms while optimizing your long-term health and wellness. So you can
decide if this is a relationship you want to invest in.
FIRST DATE
Our first "date" is time to meet with one of our Women's Health Nurse Practitioners to review your medical history, go through all of your menopause symptoms and their impact on your life - and maybe discuss some symptoms you didn't even think were related to menopause! This is an opportunity to ask questions and discuss your goals and comfort level related to different treatment options and methods so we can curate a treatment plan that supports your health history, symptoms, goals and lifestyle. Not to brag, but our first dates usually end with a big hug and a second date already set up.
SECOND DATE
Before things get too serious, we like to do our homework. We encourage you to bring any recent (<180 days) labs to your first visit. Ideally these would include CBC, CMP, Lipid Panel, HbA1c and a thyroid panel. Don't worry if you don't have these - but these labs are valuable to us if you do! During your initial visit your provider will discuss additional testing we utilize for your care. Based on your symptoms and health history, we will run a custom in-house hormone panel. This is included in the cost of the consultation and is date-specific.
Hormonal lab testing is tricky - especially during perimenopause. Your hormones fluctuate greatly and unpredictably during this time. However, we do have some incite on which days of your cycle are optimal for testing based on your period cadence and current hormone/medication use. We will review this at your initial visit and schedule your testing so we can get the best possible data for (and from) you before determining your treatment options. This can be done in our office or at home with a blood spot test so it's flexible!
THIRD DATE
Finally, we will meet one more time, in person or over the phone, to review your lab results. This is typically one week following your lab draw and/or when your results are available. Based on these results, your provider can identify any deficiencies we can support, areas that need further research or specialty care, and review your treatment options with you.
INVESTMENT
Our menopause consultation process is $300. This includes the initial first visit, any necessary labs requested from our WHNP and time to review your results and treatment options. Then it's entirely up to you to determine your next step.
From here, you can decide where this relationship goes...
GOING STEADY
At this time, if HRT or other medications are good options for you and you are ready to get started, we can enroll you in our monthly menopause care program ($119/monthly) and submit your prescriptions to your pharmacy. We do have a small menu of compounded medication options available for those who prefer to get their medications in-house and we can review those costs with you prior to treatment as they are not included in the $119/month cost of care.
We will check-in until we find what feels right for you and then every 6-8 weeks. All of your calls and office visits are included in your monthly fee in addition to any subsequent labs your provider needs for your care. HRT can take some time to nuance so we ask that patients give us some patience and a minimum of 6 months of care to ensure quality care and outcomes.
Any time in your care, we can discuss other treatment options you may benefit from: weight management, hair restoration, vitamin therapy and the best part - you receive 10% off these additional services! All of this care is related so it's easy and beneficial to have one provider manage it all for you!
KEEPING IT CASUAL
You like where this is going but want to keep your options open - we get it.
You are welcome to see your Essential provider as needed for $250/visit. Utilize their guidance to help you navigate your menopausal journey with your PCP or OBGYN (or another provider). You can join our monthly care program at anytime if you'd decide to have Essential manage your care and prescriptions. Patients not enrolled in our monthly care program simply pay the visit or treatment fee for any services at the time of care. Treatment fees vary and are provided prior to treatment consent.
