Cancellations and No Shows
At Essential, we strive to provide exceptional care to all our patients. Due to limited availability, it is important that scheduled appointments are honored. Patients must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance of their appointment time. We understand that unexpected situations arise. Occasional same-day reschedules may be accommodated at our discretion. However, frequent last-minute changes may result in policy enforcement. If a patient does not show up for their scheduled appointment without prior notice or cancels within 24 hours, a $50 no-show fee will be charged to the card on file as compensation for the missed visit.
Patients who arrive more than 10 minutes late may be considered a no-show and will be seen as time allows.
Credit Card Policy
A credit card is kept on file for all appointments. Essential will never charge your stored card without your consent; however, "no shows" or appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be billed $50 to the card on file.
Medication Policy
Once a medication order has been placed and processed, refunds cannot be provided. This policy is in place to uphold the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of all pharmaceutical products.
We understand that circumstances may arise where changes or cancellations are needed. However, due to the sensitive nature of medications and the importance of maintaining their integrity, all sales are final once an order has been processed. We encourage patients to carefully review their treatment plan and medication needs before enrolling in our Weight Management Program or any other medication related treatment.
Successful treatment requires significant and consistent effort. This includes adhering to prescribed treatments, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up appointments. Symptoms may not improve or could worsen without your active participation and cooperation. It is important to understand that no guarantees of symptom improvement can be provided. Every patient’s response to treatment is unique, and results may vary. If you are prescribed medication as part of your treatment, you must see your provider at least every six (6) months for follow-up evaluations. This ensures the safety and effectiveness of your care plan.
Our team is always available to answer questions and provide guidance to ensure your satisfaction and a seamless healthcare experience. Thank you for your understanding and trust in our services.
Photo Policy
Photographs are an important part of your chart to accurately track your progress. Photographs help us thoroughly see the changes in your skin and body from beginning of treatment until present. "Baseline" photographs are customarily taken at your initial visit and kept on file in your medical chart for reference.
Photos are used for these documentation purpose and only for marketing purposes when the patient has consented to use. If a patient consents to marketing use of photos, said photographs will no longer be protected by federal privacy laws. Essential Advanced Skincare and Medspa will not use photographs except as permitted on an authorization form and with as much discretion as possible.
Telehealth Policy
At Essential, we offer telehealth consultations via phone or Zoom for patients who are physically located in Massachusetts at the time of their appointment. Telehealth allows us to provide convenient care while maintaining the same high standards of service and professionalism.
By participating in a telehealth appointment, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Location Requirement: Telehealth services are only available to patients who are physically present in Massachusetts at the time of the consultation.
Confidentiality & Technology Risks: While we take every precaution to protect your privacy, telehealth services involve communication over electronic devices, which may pose risks, including potential HIPAA privacy concerns due to the use of third-party platforms (e.g., Zoom, phone calls).
Patient Responsibility: You agree to hold Essential and its providers harmless from any unintentional data breaches or privacy risks associated with telehealth communication methods.
Secure Environment: We recommend that you participate in your telehealth appointment from a private and secure location to maintain confidentiality.
Limitations of Telehealth: Some medical conditions or concerns may require an in-person visit, and our providers will determine when this is necessary.
