An Education Workshop for Women

Wait....Is This Menopause is an empowering and informative education workshop exploring perimenopause and menopause—two distinct but interconnected stages in a woman’s life. This workshop is designed to provide clarity, education, and support for those experiencing these changes or supporting a loved one through the transition.

Workshop Objectives

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of:
✓ The key differences between perimenopause and menopause.
✓ The hormonal shifts that occur during these stages.
✓ Early signs of perimenopause and how to recognize them and track them.
✓ The official definition of menopause and how it’s diagnosed.
✓ Common symptoms like hot flashes, mood changes, fatigue, or sleep disturbances.
✓ Practical strategies for symptom management and when to seek medical advice.
✓ Recommended questions for your provider to identify ideal treatment options for you.

Who Should Attend?

✓ Women in their 30-60s looking to better understand changes in their bodies.

✓ Those currently experiencing perimenopause or menopause.

✓ Spouses, family members, and caregivers who want to offer better support.

Our Speakers

Busayo Ajasa, WHNP-BC and Sarah Nadarajah, WHNP-BC, MSCP

Our event is led by Busayo Ajasa, APRN, WHNP-BC, and Sarah Nadarajah, APRN, WHNP-BC, MSCP—two board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners who specialize in caring for women through perimenopause and menopause. As members of The Menopause Society, and with Sarah holding the distinction of Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), they bring evidence-based expertise and a compassionate, approachable style to women’s health education. Together, Busayo and Sarah are passionate about empowering women with clear, practical guidance and helping them understand how small, informed changes can make a meaningful difference in comfort, confidence, and overall well-being.

Format and Logistics

The workshop format can be easily adjusted for your organization's needs including an interactive presentation with Q&A, a prompted Q&A, or a more intimate conversation format.  We are flexible with the style, format and duration.  In most cases, the presentation duration is 20-45 minutes and 20-45 minutes are left for questions or open conversation following the presentation component.   We provide handouts and links for educational resources for guests. Events can be hosted at Essential or we can come to you - whatever works best for your group!   Our speakers are available for panel or other education events!
